Scott`s amazing trip to Taiwan ended with 2 nights in the capital, Taipei City.
We stayed at the very trendy, and perfectly located, Episode Daan Taipei, which is a great base for exploring the vibrant city. No visit to Taipei is complete without a visit to Din Tai Fung for lunch. From humble beginnings in Taipei in 1972, it is now a global powerhouse when it comes to xiaolongbao, operating in 13 countries around the world. You can still visit the original restaurant, although we went to their larger and more central restaurant underneath Taipei 101. Be prepared to wait for a seat however! Arrive early, register, take a buzzer and go and explore the shopping centre, as you could wait as long as 3 hrs to get a table!
Next, stop was over 400mtrs straight up - to the top of Taipei 101. Once the worlds tallest building, it is still recognised as the worlds tallest `green building`, awarded due to its significant energy efficiency and environmental design. The views go on forever of this beautiful city, surrounded by mountains.
Next, we headed to i-Ride Taipei for an amazing `5D` experience! After being buckled in to the chair, you get the sensation of flying over various landscapes in Taiwan using suspended motion seats, a large spherical screen, and special effects such as wind, water, and scents to create an immersive experience. It was an amazing insight into views of Taiwan`s unique geographic features and cultural landmarks, many of which we`d not had the chance to explore on the amazing journey to Taiwan.
With direct flights to Taipei from Brisbane with EVA Airways, and connecting flights to Europe and USA, we can highly recommend Taipei as a destination in it`s own right! But, if you are just passing through, be sure to include at least a short stopover in this stunning country!!
The trip around Taiwan continues as we drove over 700 mtrs into the mountains, to the amazing Sun Moon Lake. A stunning alpine lake renowned for its picturesque scenery and rich cultural heritage, and the highlight of the trip so far.
The lake`s name comes from its unique shape; the eastern part resembles a sun while the western part resembles a crescent moon. We stayed at the beautiful Wyndham Sun Moon Lake, with thermal hot tubs in each room and stunning lake views.
The Ita Thao Night Market has some amazing food on offer and we couldn`t resist trying a popular Taiwanese dessert that has made it`s way into the Michelin Guide, the Peanut Ice Cream Roll. A thin crepe, covered with peanut brittle shaved from a giant block, taro and pineapple ice cream and to top it off.......coriander! Sounds odd but the distinctive flavour combination balances sweetness with the aromatic freshness of the coriander and was truly amazing!
We took a scenic boat ride before climbing the stairs for the views from Wenwu Temple and then explored the cultural centre.
There is also a 2km long cable car connecting the lake to the Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village, which also doubles up as a massive theme park, home to the largest free-fall ride in South East Asia!
There are 9 different hiking trails ranging from an hour to a full day or you can hire bikes (both normal and electric) and explore the full 33km circumference of the lake on the bike path, recently listed as 1 of the Top 10 most beautiful cycle paths in the world!
If you`re visiting in February or March, don’t miss the cherry blossoms at Formosan Aboriginal Culture Village—it`s a breath taking spectacle!
Sun Moon Lake is not just about its natural beauty; it’s also a hub of culture and adventure and I would love to come back and spend more time exploring!
Scott is currently in Taiwan, getting to learn more about the amazing, and often overlooked, country, thanks to EVA Air and Taiwan Tourism Board.
We kicked off our journey with an overnight flight from Brisbane to Taipei and the comfort and service were top-notch, making the long journey a breeze! After landing, we hopped on the high-speed train to Kaohsiung—what a ride, reaching speeds of up to 300km/h!
Once in Kaohsiung, we took a scenic bus ride to the stunning Maolin National Scenic, which spans approximately 1,000 square kilometres, with stunning mountainous landscapes and lush forests, and rich biodiversity. It is known for it`s millions of butterflies and is also home to many indigenous tribes, adding cultural depth to its natural beauty.
To cap off our day, we enjoyed a relaxing river cruise in Kaohsiung, soaking in the vibrant atmosphere as the sun set before a beautiful hot pot dinner and night market.
Next day, We started our day with a bus ride to Tainan, where we visited the Ten Drum Cultural Village. Here, we learned to play traditional drums and enjoyed an exhilarating performance that brought the culture to life.
Lunch was a highlight at Po Jen Tang, which is recognized for its unique blend of traditional Taiwanese cuisine and therapeutic food. It has earned a Bib Gourmand designation in the 2024 MICHELIN Guide, and specializes in tonic soups and other dishes that incorporate medicinal herbs. The restaurant is housed in a century-old Chinese medicine shop, preserving the apothecary cabinets and using inscribed plaques as dining tables, creating a unique dining atmosphere.
Afterward, we explored the Anping Tree House, often referred to as mini Angkor Wat, as the roots of the banyan trees have completely overtaken an old house over more than 70 years.
The journey continues over the next 4 days as we head further North, exploring along the way, until we eventually end in Taipei!
The 2nd half of the boys Bali trip was full of more adventure (and food!), exploring parts we`d not been to before.
After the fun of white water rafting,Wombie Driver took us to the very Northern coast, past Mount Agung, an active volcano that erupted last in 2017. We arrived into Amed, a charming coastal area, away from the huge crowds, but still busy enough that there is a good selection of cafes and restaurants spread along the coast.
Our hotel was directly across the road from the beach, with amazing sea views from the pool and breakfast! We crossed the road, hired snorkel gear from the cafe, and went down the stairs, straight into the water for some amazing snorkelling! There was an abundance of coral, fish and even turtles, all right off the beach.
The next day, we took a boat trip to a sunken ship wreck, believed to be a Japanese patrol boat that sunk during WWII. Some more snorkelling with amazing sea life, and then back on the boat to head to Jemeluk Bay, where we snorkelled the sunken temple. Another amazing day in the water!
The adventure didn`t end there however, as we made our way back towards Jimbaran Bay for our last 2 nights, but not before went on an ATV Adventure, taking in waterfalls, villages, rice paddies and lots of mud! The boys had an absolute ball, and all agreed this was the highlight of their trip.
We ended with 2 nights at one of our favourite spots, Jimbaran Bay. Beautiful white sands, amazing sunsets and stunning seafood dinner on the beach, was the perfect way to end an unforgettable adventure!
And as always, huge thank you to Wombie DriverWombie DriverWombie DriverWombie Driver who always looks after not only us, but all of our wonderful clients when they are in Bali. 🥰
What better way to spend school holidays than with a few mates in Bali!!
Scott, Josh, Jackson and Ben recently had a boys trip to Bali, taking in all the best sights and activities, not to mention eating endless amounts of amazing food.
Starting in a villa in Sanur for 4 nts, the lads spent most of the time in the pool making the most of the sun. No trip to Bali with kids is complete without a trip to the amazing waterpark, Waterbom, where the boys had a blast. We highly recommend pre-booking a Gazebo as it can get busy, making finding shade hard.
After 4nts of endless swimming and eating, our trusted driver and Bali expert, Wombie Driver, collected us to to head white water rafting at Melangit River, where we had the time of our lives . An amazing experience in the depths of the jungle and well worth the detour.
Our adventure continues, as we carried on to the Northern Coast, where we had 3 nts in Amed for some snorkelling.........

In Agra, they explored the magnificent Agra Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage site, where they marvelled at the stunning Mughal architecture and rich history. The highlight of their visit was, of course, the iconic Taj Mahal. Standing before this symbol of love, they were captivated by its beauty and intricate details.
After soaking in the sights of Agra, they travelled to Abhaneri to visit the remarkable Chand Baori stepwell, known for its stunning geometric design and historical significance. This architectural marvel left them in awe of ancient engineering.
Next, they headed to Jaipur, the Pink City, where they visited the stunning Hawa Mahal (also known as the Pink Palace). The intricate façade and unique architecture provided the perfect backdrop for some unforgettable photos.
During their stay in Jaipur, they enjoyed the comforts of the Ramada by Wyndham Jaipur Jaisinghpura, where they relaxed with refreshing drinks at the rooftop bar, taking in breathtaking views of the city.

Our intrepid travellers, Kristy and Rachel, continued their journey, venturing from Singapore to the vibrant heart of India - Delhi! They immersed themselves in the rich culture and history of this incredible city.
Their adventure began in Old Delhi, where they explored the narrow, winding streets teeming with life and colour. A highlight was their visit to Khari Baoli, Asia`s largest wholesale spice market, where the air was filled with the heady aromas of exotic spices. They were amazed by the bustling atmosphere as traders and buyers from all over North India gathered to do business!
Next, they marvelled at the architectural wonder of Qutab Minar, before paying their respects at two stunning Mughal-era monuments. They visited the exquisite Tomb of Itimad-ud-Daulah, often called the "Baby Taj" for its intricate marble work, and the grand Humayun`s Tomb, which served as inspiration for the Taj Mahal. Our team was particularly impressed by the historical significance of these sites, each telling a unique story of India`s rich past. They ere amazed b the breathtaking views from the rooftop of the spice market, offering spectacular views of Old Delhi`s landmarks.
Next up, they boarded a train to Agra, ready for the next leg of their Indian adventure. Stay tuned for updates on their experiences in Agra and Jaipur!
A little late in sharing, but Kristy and Rachel travelled to Singapore for an industry conference, and were lucky enough to extend the trip with some time in India! The conference brought together industry leaders to discuss the future of travel, and our team made the most of their trip by exploring some of Singapore`s iconic attractions.
During their visit, they had the opportunity to experience the breath-taking Marina Bay Sands, where they enjoyed stunning views of the city skyline. They also wandered through the lush landscapes of Gardens by the Bay, marvelling at the SuperTree Grove and the Flower Dome.
No trip to Singapore would be complete without indulging in the local cuisine. Our team savoured delicious dishes at the famous hawker stalls, where they discovered a variety of flavours that truly represent Singapore`s culinary diversity.
To top off their adventure, they relaxed with cocktails at the renowned Raffles Hotel, where they enjoyed the historic ambiance of the famous bar.
This trip not only provided valuable insights from the conference but also allowed our staff to immerse themselves in the vibrant culture and hospitality that Singapore has to offer. We look forward to using their fresh ideas and experiences to enhance your next trip to Singapore!

The amazing journey through Vietnam for Tara and Kristy was coming to an end, but not before 1 last stop at the magical Ninh Binh, Hoa Lu, and Tam Coc!
They explored breath-taking lookouts that offered stunning panoramic views of the lush countryside and iconic limestone karsts. The highlight of their adventure was cycling through picturesque villages, where they experienced the warm hospitality of the locals.
Rowing along the tranquil rivers of Tam Coc was truly magical, surrounded by towering cliffs and vibrant rice paddies. This region is a hidden gem in Vietnam, perfect for travellers seeking both adventure and cultural immersion.
A great place to spend a few days after your Ha Long Bay cruise, be sure to add a stop in Ninh Binh to your next Vietnam adventure!
After leaving Sapa, Kristy and Tara made their way back to Hanoi, before continuing on for an unforgettable adventure in Lan Ha Bay!
They had the incredible opportunity to experience an overnight cruise through this stunning, less-crowded gem, where the emerald waters and limestone karsts create a breath taking backdrop. From swimming in crystal-clear lagoons to kayaking through serene caves, every moment was a perfect blend of relaxation and adventure.
But the highlight? A light plane flight over Ha Long Bay! The aerial views were nothing short of spectacular, showcasing the iconic karsts and islands from a whole new perspective. It`s a must-do for any traveller looking to capture the beauty of Vietnam.
A visit to Vietnam isn`t complete without a visit to this amazing part of the country!!
What an amazing day supporting Morningside Panthers for their annual Legends Lunch. This years `Legend` was one of Essendon FC`s favourite sons, Simon Madden, and with a career spanning 19 years and 378 games, he certainly didn`t disappoint!
Not to be outdone however, was comic genius The Suburban Footballer - Tom Siegert. Last year Tom gave us the Suburban Footballer. This year Tom gave us half hour of non-stop comic brilliance that completely captivated the audience.
As the years largest fundraiser for the Panthers, we are honoured to be joint headline sponsor of the event, along with our great friends at Climacool Air Conditioning & Electrical. Morningside Panthers are now the largest AFL club in Australia with around 1,500 players from Auskick to SuperCats and everything in between and a massively growing AFLW program.
More than just a sporting club, they are integral part of the local community, and every $ raised at an event like this keeps a thousand kids and nearly 500 adults playing football.
Well done Panthers on a hugely successful event, yet again!
It was time for Kristy and Tara to leave Hanoi and get the overnight train to the breath-taking landscapes of Sapa! With stunning rice terraces, vibrant hill tribe cultures, and the warm hospitality of the local people, they`d highly recommend adding Sapa to any Vietnam trip.
Arriving early morning after a restful sleep on the overnight train, they started with breakfast at the stunning Silk Path Grand Sapa Resort & Spa. After breakfast and walk around this beautiful hotel they were staying at, they headed off for a hike in the very misty mountains.
They got to meet many incredibly friendly locals, learning all about farming rice in the paddy fields, as they walked from village to village. A stop for lunch for more amazing Vietnamese fare, at the most stunning eco-resort, about 30mins from Sapa Village. Unfortunately, there wasn`t time for a massage, but the spa facilities were simply out of this world. Carrying on, they crossed paths with the local water buffalo as they made their way back to the hotel.
Dinner and an early night before rising early to get the Sapa Express Bus back to Hanoi for another night before preparing to head off on their next adventure, Ha Long and Lan Ha Bay for an overnight cruise and a scenic flight they`ll never forget!
After a short flight from Ho Chi Minh City with Vietjet, Kristy and Tara arrived in Hanoi, known for its rich history, unique charm, and vibrant culture.
After checking in to their beautiful hotel, they took the opportunity to explore the hustle and bustle of the Old Town. With stunning architecture, an abundance of markets and old world charm, it was definitely the beginning of what was going to be an amazing week. That evening they got to meet the rest of the group for welcome drinks and their hosts Wide Eyed Tours & Travel.
The following morning they were off to explore the city and surrounds on the back of Vespa`s. A stop to see the train coming perilously close to the coffee shops and market stalls, before making their way through the streets of Hanoi. With no shortage of amazing food to try in Northern Vietnam, they tried several local delicacies on the tour. We cannot recommend this trip enough or our clients in Hanoi, and as you`re the passenger, there is no biking experience needed. (But if you prefer to go in a car or van, we can arrange that for you too!)
Coming to the end of the tour after an amazing dinner, they then headed to the train station, ready to board the overnight train heading to the mountainous region of Sapa, known for its stunning natural landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and cool climate.
Next stop Sapa........
Kristy and Tara recently had the pleasure of exploring Vietnam with our travel partners Wide Eyed Tours & Travel, who do an exceptional job helping us plan and put together all our itineraries in Vietnam. But even better than that, they look after our clients when they are on the ground in Vietnam, making sure they are well looked after, even arranging to meet them face to face if possible, or checking in on them via phone during their trip.
Staring with 2 nights in Ho Chi Minh City, Kirsty and Tara hit the streets to explore and acclimatise themselves with the hustle and bustle of this fantastic country. From the amazing colours of Ben Thanh market to the stunning architecture of the Central Post Office and the People`s Committee Building, HCMC is a bustling metropolis that is a must do at the start or end of any Vietnam itinerary!
Next, they headed off to Hanoi to join the rest of the group and let the real adventures of exploring Vietnam begin!
It`s been a long time since we`ve posted anything, simply because we`ve been way too busy booking some amazing trips for our clients.
However, look out over the coming weeks for some amazing updates and pictures on trips the team have been doing, including:
Japan
Vietnam
Singapore
India
Danube River Cruise
But in the meantime, check out these stunning pictures of a recent trip our clients Bill and Silvana Nagl did to the Nordics, taking in Finland, Sweden, Denmark and Norway!
Our trip has ended with 4 nights in Bali and some beachside relaxation to end. We stayed at the beautiful InterContinental Bali Resort, right on the beach at Jimbaran. Highly recommended and Josh`s pick for his favourite hotel of the trip!
After a couple of days relaxing by the pool and beach, we ventured off to Waterbom Bali for some waterslide fun! This is our 3rd trip to Bali and 3rd trip to Waterbom and Josh loves it just as much. To make it even better (for both Josh and I!), he bumped into one of his AFL teammates from Morningside Junior AFC, so spent the day hanging out with Gus!
We headed for dinner at Rumah Sushi Bali, which I we highly recommend, and a quick game of pool Sandpiper bali on the way back. In fact, we went back there for dinner the next night and can also highly recommend their sliders!
Our last day started by getting to catch up with our good friend and driver for all our clients in Bali, Wombie Driver, who took us to Blue Lagoon for some snorkelling. A great way to spend the last day and well worth the drive.
We finished our trip with the most amazing dinner at Cuca. Last visit, we enjoyed the Chefs Tasting Menu, and this time Josh wanted to re-order all the dishes he`d enjoyed most last time. Owners Kevin and Virginia do such an amazing job looking after all their clients, (and all our clients who visit get looked after as VIP`s) and we had the pleasure of getting to meet them this trip as they were away last time. The food and ambience is truly beautiful and we cannot recommend their restaurant enough. It goes without saying, we`ll be going back again next time!
An amazing trip and always such a wonderful opportunity getting to explore new hotels and experiences to ensure we continue to be able to offer the best possible experience we can for all our clients when we book your trips.
Virgin Voyages has arrived in Australia - and MWTC were lucky enough to be invited to attend their amazing launch party in Sydney.
Rachel and Kristy joined the party aboard the `Resilient Lady`, getting to experience amazing Virgin hospitality and exploring this amazing ship. With stunning views of the Opera House from both the ship and their hotel, they were spoilt for choice!
Not to waste an opportunity, another day was spent exploring Sydney and enjoying the facilities of InterContinental Sydney.
If you`ve never cruised before, or thought it wasn`t `your thing`, the relaxed, tranquil and laid back atmosphere of Virgin Voyages may be exactly what you`ve been missing!
